Haiti ‘abuse victim’ says he is ready to testify

Uruguays military says marines accused of sexually assaulting a Haitian boy while on a UN mission there are back on active duty and receiving full pay. While a court has said that the alleged victim, Johnny Jean, has not testified, i an exclusive interview he told Al Jazeera that he had not been contacted by investigators looking into the case. In a report released today, international agency Oxfam said reconstruction of Haiti, two years on from its devastating earthquake, has proceeded “at a snail’s pace” leaving more than half a million Haitians still homeless. Haiti 2 years later: Half a million still in camps
